WoWWiki.com
WoWWiki.com is a large wiki-based website that covers the whole of Blizzard's Warcraft universe.
The wiki is an extremely popular website with thousands of unique visitors and contributers every day.
As one of the lead site administrators, I help with all sides of the running of the wiki – the skin and main page are two of my most obvious efforts.
ClearFont, a World of Warcraft AddOn by Kirkburn
ClearFont was been downloaded several hundred thousand times since it launched in September 2005!
In December 2006 a complete recode of the addon, called ClearFont2, was launched.
However, development of the addon is currently inactive, due to other commitments.
My characters
I have several characters on several different realms:
Chekov : level 80 Alliance hunter (Stormrage EU).
My current main character, started soon after release of The Burning Crusade.
Warburn : level 70 Alliance warlock (Dragonblight EU).
My first character! Currently inactive, awaiting his visit to Northrend
Myana : level 42 Alliance paladin (Dragonblight EU).
A paladin I started back they were boring – one day, she'll have a new lease of life...
Plus, of course, I have a whole host of other characters at other levels on other realms...
A history in Warcraft
Warcraft: Orcs & Humans
I first played this at school on one of the Macs. Great fun!
Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness
One of the first proper games I bought!
Unfortunately, I never played the expansion – crazy...
Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos
By this point, I was really getting into Warcraft, and bought the Collector's Edition while on holiday in Germany.
Fantastic storyline, and great fun to play.
Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne
What can I say? Warcraft III, but more!
World of Warcraft
Having never had experience with an MMO before, I bought WoW on the very first day of EU release on the strength of the reviews and franchise alone! Foolishly, I did not buy the Collector's Edition.
I still remember that first crazy day in Goldshire...
World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade
I was fortunate enough to be allowed a chance to beta test the WoW expansion pack.
Thank you Blizzard, it made the winter months fly past!
Additionally, by this point I had started collecting all the various novels and guides that accompany WoW.
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King
Once again I was fortunate enough to be given a chance to beta test the new expansion pack.
Another great experience – it's incredibly interesting to see games in live development.
It's also awesome to see the lore of the game really starting to take central stage.
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm
Fingers crossed :)
